I am planning a vacation to Maine for late August 2010. I would like to rent a house/condo on the beach for a week. The question is where do I stay. I don’t mind staying someplace that isn’t extremely close to a bunch of things to do. Just as long as I can get to restaurants, and maybe shopping in about 20 mins by car.

This is the ad I found on craiglist

( Per Ticket Disney,Universal,or Sea World without a tour)

I called and they told me they will deliver the tickets to my hotel. Can anyone tell me how my credit card could protect me if it turns out that the tickets are not usable?
I called Discover and they told me it might be impossible to get the money back, since the broker is actually having the no refund policy
I know it will badley affect my credit, but can they sue me for the difference between what I owe and what they can sell it for? Do timeshares get auction off? Can they garnish my wages, will I be able to keep my condo? What happens if I never pay the difference owed? I’ve read alot on the internet but haven’t seen anything from someone who actually went through with the foreclosure. BTW I own a points system, Lawrance Welk in San Diego.
I went to the Houston mall and spent the wheel and I won the Free 2 night 3 day trip to my choice of las vegas or orlando. When I called they were about to set up something, but I asked her that the guy I spent the wheel with told me about an upgrade and she explained that the upgrade is that they would help me out with the airfare if I just went to tour one of their timeshare places and all I would pay was 79.00 and that as long as I sat through the 90 minute tour or business pitch I would get 40.00 of it back. Will they still fund my trip to vegas? the airfare and the hotel room? for two of us? Seems so unreal these days.. Please help if you know anything about this.. Thanks!
I bought a package deal at six flags in vallejo last year for with the condition of having to attend a 90min presentation (has something to do with timeshares) but I was wondering, since there’s no obligation to buy, do the conditions still apply to "stay" at the room based on the age(25)?
Basically, what i want to know is, do you have to be the required age of the presentation, which is 25, to stay in the room? cuz the age to check in the room is 21, but when we bought the promo at 6flags they did say u have to attend the 90min presentation but not obligated to buy anyway. (Not planning to anyway) lol
our family of 4 wishes to travel, to florida that week. My daughter has autism and we think it would be great experience. We are looking for a spot on the beach but not necessary in a popular area, kinda away from the spring breakers and crowd as much as it is possible. Thank you
I got a timeshare in 2009 and still have not used it…I am trying to sell it, but I am not sure which companies are legit…I was told selling it is like selling a house, and I should not have to pay anything up front…HELP!!!
I have been very wary of time shares. Does anyone have experience with them. I have one long vacation ( 7 – 10 days)once a year and generally two shorter vacations (long weekends) mixed in. It seems that it would make sense to me, but when I listen to the sales men I get confused. They are so concerned with the sell, they don’t have patience to let me think and evaluate. I have always been told "I have to move on there are 20 other people here who want to buy into this wonderful environment." Or something such as. I can’t work with this hard sell. I need to know all the ins and outs. Does anyone have ideas or experience with time shares?
I was riped off my theses people, after a 3 hours sales pitch, and not buying from them, They told me they had a trial where i could us there resorts for two years for 3,000. It included evough points that i could go to the beach resorts my area for 14 long weekends. It was a total lie, It only gave me nough points for three weekends which comes out to over 500 a night. Has any body else been riped off with this trial package. I want to find enough people to start a class action suit.
Hi! We have a large family and are wanting to visit the beach for about a week. We havev been to Kure Beach in North Carolina and LOVED it! Now we are looking for another beach closer to home. We live in Arkansas so we were thinking the Gulf coast? Can you recommend a rental company that has townhouses or condos? Inexpensive preferred. Thanks!
