There are a lot of rental agencies in Gulf Shores that I’ve found by searching the web. Any recommendations on a great rental agency? We would like to rent a 4-bedroom condo or house on the beach for a week in August.

We will be traveling with grandparents and a child so I don’t want to get stuck in miserable accommodations while we are there.

Thank you.

Ok. I’ve heard a lot about this hotel, and I am getting a little concerned.
I don’t care about the timeshare thing (because that what I’m hearing about the most)
I care about the ROOM QUALITY. Is it clean? Does everything work properly? I’m staying at a two bedroom villa. I don’t care if the stuff isn’t "pretty", i’ve heard the glass on the walls is a bit creepy. Overall, just tell me what you thought of it and specifically if the place is clean..

I mean I hear my family who have timeshare say "this year we can use our timeshare to go to this place or there" etc. Okay so I think we have timeshare for Mexico and I know if we don’t use the timeshare for a whole year, we can use it for 2 weeks vacation the following year or if we don’t use it 3 weeks the other following year, etc. I wanted to know according to what my family says, say we can use our timeshare to go to cancun this year but we don’t go but we do go to the same place/resort for our vacation we went last year, can we still go to cancun for 2 years next year since we didn’t really use it, or does it still count as using it? Am I making any sense or did I hear wrong? Or are there different plans in timeshare or do everyone have the same plan? I hope you guys get me.

Thanks

My friends and I are planning a trip to Mexico, but we are having problems deciding where to go.

Here is what we DON’T want:

-all inclusive
-Cancun
-super touristy
-too many families
-tours
-expensive excurtions

Here is what we do want:

-drinking on the beach
-beautiful beaches where we can swim
-cheap, authentic food
-easy access to ruins, and cenotes for day trips
-a chance to practice my spanish
-some dancing
-a few bars and restaurants
-wildlife sightings

We need a good spot that is not too touristy, but still has some things to do in the evenings.
We are usually budget travellers, but this time we are willing to spend a little more, and maybe rent a condo rather than sleep in a hostel.

Please give me suggestions!!!

My fiance and I are going to Florida in August thanks to his mother! She has booked a 4 day stay at Longboat Beach Resort [something like that!] and I was just reading a lot of reviews on it.It seems really beautiful and really expensive! But,I’m curious as to what we will need money for and how much we should try to bring with us.Key word is TRY! We aren’t poor, but with him on disability and just me working part time and in shool part time,we’re obviously on a budget. But we have a great landlord so we don’t have to pay Augusts rent until we pay Septembers! I’m definitely goinng, and want to know what to expect.Wht things we can do there on a budget and what things to avoid. I don’t won’t to go and be broke the first day! We’re flying down, once again thanks to his mom and mine! And we will be getting a pretty reasonable price on a rental because his aunt owns a Hertz,or something like that.I’m truly thrilled because life has been extremely rough lately and I’ve never been out of Mass! I just want to know what to expect, any additional fees we have to pay although it’s on a timeshare. And if anything comes included, any dining or spas? Thanks! I def could use all the advice possible.
