Has anyone been to a timeshare presentation?
I paid for a trip to Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf course. It was very cheap, the only catch is that I have to attend a timeshare presentation. I am not going to buy a timeshare but are these people aggressive? And has anyone taken any good trips by doing this?

Yeah they will generally be pushy and obnoxious when you turn them down. But the free trip is worth it. They gamble that some people will like the place and decide it is a great place to vacation.
I have been to a few. Generally they start off with a group, then set down with individuals. They only want an answer right now, the offer won’t be valid once you leave, so if you continue to tell them that you don’t like making rash decisions, they get cheaper, add in more, try again….. after a while, they just pay you what ever you were promised and let you go on your way. It is interesting to watch the sales approach, but it is pushy. Just stick to your story of not making any immediate decisions, and want to sleep on it before you decide.
Have a fabulous time!
My husband and I have attended a couple. It’s not so bad. Of course they are aggressive, but as long as you don’t do anything you don’t want to do, you’ll be fine. When it’s through, just make it very clear that you aren’t interested. They know that a lot of people are just taking advantage of the freebies. If they keep pushing you, tell them that you are thinking about it, but want to take some time. Have fune
I’ve always been interested in knowing how these presentations work…how pushy they are, etc.
I’m going to star your question. I think it’s a very good one. I’m curious to see what kind of responses you get.
Good luck!
Yes, I have. If you don’t want to buy, just stand your ground. It usually takes a couple of hours – tour and sales pitch. Usually worth a free trip!
I own a time share in Orlando and have been to other meetings where they try to sell another one.
You may get some food ( nothing fancy ) listen to information for 1 to 2 hours and just tell them you are not ready to commit to it.
It will be a high pressure sales presentation that will start very soft and courteous and will wrap you around like a snake. After a couple of hours you will know what i´m talking about.
NEVER give signs of interest or they will pressure you even more.
Make sure you ask the Lent of the presentation and when you are half way tell them that you have something to do right after the time is done or they will try to make you stay even longer than what they say.
