Is it possible to buy a timeshare week from an owner? ?
I’m looking for an inexpensive summer trip for my family. I looked online and the prices for a one week trip to places like Beaches resort or a cruise is very high. I was wondering if there was a website where timeshare owners can sell their week if they can’t use it at a discount. I couldn’t find anything online for specifically that. I realize many people who own Timeshares end up not using their week and sometimes sell it. I can not afford a timeshare of my own…I’d love one. I’d like a nice family trip to a resort but can’t afford the 00 minimum for a week. Beaches resort is ideal for the kids and all inclusive is great. Any websites or resources where I may be able to buy an owners week for a deal? I’d appreciate any resources or suggestions on discounted trips. I’ve tried hotwire, orbitz etc… Looking for buying a timeshare week from and owner or something similar. Thanks…

I would look at http://www.buyatimeshare.com – This site also rents out timeshares that owners are not using. A good trick is to look at what owners are paing in maintenance fees and use that as an offer – If an owner is not using their week, they still have to pay the maintenance. Often times owners will rent it for what it costs them – Somewhere in the neighborhood of $400-$800 for an entire week in a 2 bedroom unit. They even have a live chat feature on their site which can be handy if you have a quick question.
