We bought a time share on star island!
Buying Timeshare Archives
I’m thinking about going to hawaii with my girlfriend… if we buy tickets early, they will be about 0 each. We could stay for a week in a condo that a friend has a timeshare with for another 0 each.
So now we are up to 0 each… and the question I am trying to find out is:
About how much should I expect to spend on food and other touristy stuff?
We don’t plan on going on any "tours"… mainly just enjoying the beaches and what not. But yeah, if you have recently been to hawaii on vacation… can you tell me how long you stayed and how much money you spent while there (and what it was on if you can remember).
Thanks!
P.s. The condo is located on "Big Island, Kailua-Kona"
Ok. Had to ask you guys. I’ve heard of this type of thing before and that it worked for some. I finally got one of those calls. I have to go to a hotel near where I live and apparently sit throught a 90 minute presentation (sell session) and I receive 4 round trip airline tickets in which I have to use in the next 2 years…no processing fee’s. I know the presentation is some type of timeshare thing and that these guys are probably really good closers. Have any of you ever sat through one of these? Do you really get what is promised? Any catches? I’m in sales myself and will absolutely NOT buy anything while I’m there. All imput would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I have been given a free week (7 nights) at a timeshare very close to WDW (Marriott Horizons Orlando). By staying there I would then need to pay for daily parking at the parks (), food, tickets, etc. I have been trying to estimate how much this will be for the week. I am guessing around 00 (because the room is free).
OR… with the buy 4 get 3 nights free promotion that they are running, it would be 00 for the economy hotel, all tickets, all transportation to and from the resort, tickets, etc.
I have a two year old and I am concerned about his schedule. I am a very laid-back mom, but I know my son still needs a nap during the day. He could nap in his stroller, but it may be better for the whole family if we had the option of sleeping in a bed for his nap daily (everybody in the family can use a nap daily while at disney).
What do you think? Is it worth the extra 0 to stay in a worse, smaller room on-property just to have the ease of transportation?
Thanks!
I am so sorry to offend! I have a friend who stayed in one of the economy on-property rooms and she said the room was small and not very nice. I imagine a small cheap motel-type room. Thank you for clarifying that the economy level rooms are nice!
i got a call from carnival cruise saying i won the oppertunity to buy a trip for just the sales tax, 93 a person.

Okay, my husband won a trip to Vegas in August(we know it is hot we go for our anniversary) from his work. They did this last year and we stayed at the Flamingo and they gave us a car. We took a bus and helicopter ride at the Grand Canyon and went to Red Rock. We saw a comedy show at Brad Garret’s comedy club and Frank Caliendo. We ate at Craftsteak. We also bought a timeshare while we were there so they can’t rope us into that this time.
This year they are putting us up at the Aria, but no car. They will pay for one show and give us gift cards for eating. We thought of having them pay for an expensive show and I did some research and found some shows that offer discounts to other shows. So, this is my list of possibilities. I’m wondering if anyone has seen them and/or if you have seen something else that you think is great too. In addition, dining suggestions are also greatly appreciated. Please note, I will be in the beginning of my 7th month of pregnancy so, drinking is not essential on this trip, but I will be hungry.
Also note, we live in PA about 2 hours from New York City so, when it comes to broadway we can hop a bus anytime and see the real thing.

We want to go on Holiday, all inclusive in December/Jan…….Somewhere hot and pretty direct. Been online and there are just so many companies out there selling holidays that clearly dont exist at all. The Beaches/Sandals site offered up to %60 off some holidays, but the price still ended up being a ridiculous ,000 ( Canadian)…WTF is that about, i didnt want to buy an island, just visit one for 10 days. Can anyone help at all. I dont want to rent a timeshare though as i will end up doing all the work whilst im on holiday and thats part of getting away, doing nothing.
Hi all,
Heading to Aruba in february for the first time. Bought a ticket and have a free place to stay via a friends timeshare. I’m on a budget, but still am looking to have some fun when there.
Any beaches, clubs, things to do that people recommend?
Also, looking to rent a motorcycle for a few days… I see the rates range from 45-100 bucks. Any rental places that are recommended?
Also, whats the deal with drinking on the beach… are the cops tough? THANKS!!!!
cause i saw a commercial for buying them.
Hi Everyone,
I know I can get info about places to visit in LA online but just wanted to check with people here who are from that area and knows more detail than I can find anywhere.
I am going to LA with my 2 and half year old for few days. I want to take her disneyland. I am checking the park tickets online. Are there any other places to buy cheaper tickets there or any timeshares who provide them? What else I can do with a toddler where she, I and my husband all can enjoy.
Thanks in advance
