Timeshare Resorts Archives

I live in a resort area and am amazed by the thousands of people who will drive an average of 5 + hrs. to pick up a " free gift" (vacation) or discounted Amusement Park tickets at timeshare presentations.

When you add up the cost of gas, food and what they’ll spend when they use their "free gift", is it really FREE…..

I am a timeshare owner and have the opportunity to visit Rossano, Italy next summer. I am an American/Italian, but I don’t speak or comprehend any of it. I have visited Rome many years ago & absolutley Loved Italy. This time around, I’d like to bring my two teenage children. The resort is called "Eurovillage Club Nausicaa" Does anyone know anything about this area or resort? Which airport would I fly into……..I’m from Upstate New York?
Would you know which Airport in Rome to fly into from New York? I know there are two airports in rome.

I’ve narrowed it down to:
Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino;
Mariott’s Aruba Ocean Club;
Mariott’s Aruba Surf Club; or

I have many other options as it’s a timeshare deal. So let me know if you know of another good one.

Is there any resorts or timeshares that i can rent for cheap? What are some websites to go to?

I recently attended a sales presentation at a Westin Resort on their Starwood Vacation Ownership program. It sounds appealing in that you have flexibility to go to other properties. And unike traditional "timeshare" you don’t have to lock-in to going only to where you own the same week year after year. However, I am also skeptical of these offers that sound too good to be true. If anyone is currently an owner of a Starwood Vacation Villa, I would love to hear about your experience and if you’ve taken advantage of redeeming your StarOptions at another property. Are there any hidden details they don’t mention during the sales pitch? Thanks!

I am about to sign up for a RCI timeshare. It will cost me ,000 for 1 week in AZ Sedona Pines Resort and 42,000 points every two years. My maintenance fee is 0 a every year. So if you could help me out that would be great. I just don,t want to miss up. We can get a loan for it and our payments would be about 0 a month for 7 yrs they said. But we would pay it off early. Is this a good idea cause some of the people I hear say they can’t even get a room. Please help thank you.

We are going to Orlando on January 26th. We are staying at our friend’s timeshare condo at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. We need grocery stores or something like Walmart Supercenter, closest to our resort. Does anybody stay at this resort? How was it? And what is the weather going to be during our stay (approximately)?

I’d like to compare the cost of a hotel or resort to renting a house or condo. Thank you!
