My friends and I are planning a trip to Mexico, but we are having problems deciding where to go.

Here is what we DON’T want:

-all inclusive
-Cancun
-super touristy
-too many families
-tours
-expensive excurtions

Here is what we do want:

-drinking on the beach
-beautiful beaches where we can swim
-cheap, authentic food
-easy access to ruins, and cenotes for day trips
-a chance to practice my spanish
-some dancing
-a few bars and restaurants
-wildlife sightings

We need a good spot that is not too touristy, but still has some things to do in the evenings.
We are usually budget travellers, but this time we are willing to spend a little more, and maybe rent a condo rather than sleep in a hostel.

Please give me suggestions!!!

We have a very healthy marriage, 3 kids, both in out mid 30′s and both very attractive. Wife is heading to cancun next year with a single girlfriend and the girlfriend’s parents at the Westin Timeshare condo’s. Is it a meat market there? Will she be hit on even though she is married?

We will be going the weekend of Labor Day, We have 2 kids, and 3 adults and want to stay 7 nights. We need a full Kitchen, and atleast 3 bedrooms, We really want Ocean Front, with a deck and a grill. If you have stayed anywhere nice, please tell me what to check out. Also North or South Myrtle Beach??

Where can I find vacation rentals (cabins, condos) for Mammoth mountain, CA area. Need lodging for about 8-10 people. Anyone know of any vacation rental services or websites? Thanks in advance.

I’m going to Pensacola Florida in a few weeks with my family. We’re staying at that Emerald Isle Condo place that is right on the beach. I’m worried about the jellyfish, I heard there are a lot in Pensacola…? Is Pensacola nice? Is it busy?

Family and I are planning on staying at Emerald Towers a condo of the beach. I wanted to know if it’s more family people or is it overly crowded with college kids ??

For the past 20 years, our whole family (of 13) has been going to Ocean City, Maryland. This year one of the families may not be going. The rest of us are not comfortable going to OC without them. We are looking for a different beach spot.
Any ideas?

I am considering an investment in a golf villa on Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC. I would have a friend who lives down there do the cleaning and onsite management of the property, while I manage the rental schedule and interview the tenants using a site like VRBO.com. Are there any horror stories out there? Would anyone advise me to get my head checked for even thinking about it? I would need rent it about 2/3′s of the time in order for the investment to make sense?
