Any suggestions on selling a newly purchased timeshare "vacation ownership"?
I purchased a bluegreen vacation ownership property almost a year ago and would like to get rid of it but the company specifies a resale company they want you to use. I paid that company a fee several months ago to sell my points/ownership to someone else but so far have not heard anything from them. So now I am just checking to see if I have any other options for getting rid of this propery/vacation ownership.

Never pay an upfront fee to any company. I have talked to hundreds of timeshare owners over the years who have paid resale companies hundreds of dollars to sell their timeshare and then they never hear from them again.
The NEWEST, safest and most effective way to buy or sell a timeshare is at Memor-eez.com.
Yes! You CAN sell a timeshare without getting ripped off! They DO NOT charge ANY upfront fees! Ever!
Good luck…the timeshare reslae market will require you to drop your purchase price by 90% or more to sell it. Most of the timeshare sales price is in marketing and giving the person who purchased the original timeshare extra perks. The person buying resale gets none. Check e-bay and you will see how cheap the timeshares are.

Hi Jackie,
I’m afraid I have bad news for you, but before anything you should check in to your rescission period clause. In some resorts you are still able to cancel as long as you have not used the unit.
It is important to remember that purchasing timeshare should never be viewed as a financial investment with the expectation of gaining a profit in either reselling it or renting it to someone else. Timeshare is an investment in lifestyle, in future holidays, and in family time together.
The resale market is terrible. In most cases you will take a loss in your investment. What ever you do, DO NOT pay money up-front for any resale service do not be a victim of a scam.
