There are agents that are either affiliated with the timeshare company or simply sell timeshare on their own. However, they charge high commission rates of up to 40%.
A way around this is to sell it on Ebay but you also must be a Travel Verified Seller through a company called SquareTrade.
I have sold timeshares before, as well as timeshare rentals.
