I bought a timeshare about 6 years ago, its paid off, but I don’t want the thing and I can’t get rid of it. I have tried selling it, giving it away to charity groups…. Is there any way to get out from under this thing so I don’t have to pay a 400 maintenance fee every year for the rest of my life?
The timeshare is in Virginia beach… in january. Anyway, I have listed it with century 21, and tried multiple online sites, it cost me 500$ to list it on century21 so I dont really feel like paying to list it anywhere else. Also, I tried to sell it on ebay and that cost me and the guy who won the bid for didnt respond or pay. So if anyones interested :) .

I want to give away at least 100 free vacations each month to Las Vegas and another 50 each month to Orlando. This would be part of a timeshare promotion. The guests must meet minimum age and income qualifications and attend a resort tour.

Craigslist will not allow these postings; Kiiji will not allow these postings; ebay requirements are too strict. By too strict, I mean that the reservations are going to vary from hotel to hotel in each vacation destination. Ebay claims this is a violation of their rules since they require each auction/offering to have just one hotel or resort room description per listing. I am not permitted to use "Jockey Club or similar accommodations."

I am willing to invest some money (up to ,000.00) in a broad advertising campaign but what is the best resource? I have tried USA Today (Friday Travel Section classifieds). Out of nationwide coverage, I received 1 booking!

Does anyone here have a real idea that can help me promote these free vacations?

I’m just wondering why they are selling it so cheap. What is the catch. I have been surfing the internet for different timeshare resales and I know there are some that are being sold for 0 but for auction on ebay with a very low starting bid and if no one bids then if the starting bid is 1.00, what is next?

has anyone used a resort type of vacation you can purchase from ebay that offers great deals on hotels and tickets if you attend a 90 min sales presentation. If so how was it.thanks

I have a Timeshare that is located in Orlando, Florida at Bonnet Creek. It is a floating unit with Wyndham Resorts, so it isn’t really confined to Orlando only. You can use it at any of Wyndham’s resorts, as well as their partner, RCI. Not only that, you can used it any time of the year, as long as you have the points. Now, I’m wanting to sell it. I think it is fair to say, I’ll never get half of what I paid for it if I just advertise it for sale, so I have another idea….kind of risky, but just thinking right now. My question is, how much interest do you think I could get if I offered some kind of "raffle" for the timeshare. Say I offer a raffle at like or per ticket and MASS advertise it, on the net, ebay, local, flyers, etc. Do you guys think this would be a good or bad idea? How many people do you think would HONESTLY want to buy a ticket?

Allthough I use Ebay , I am hesitant to buy used tickets. I also do not want to be bothered by getting my tickets though timeshare presentations. Any suggestions?

We have a two bedroom at PoloTowers on the strip in Vegas for New Year Week (or anytime of the year as long as we make reservation 60 days ahead). Some companies offer to take over for ,000. I paid a fortune for it and do not want to give it away for free (or even pay).
Or if we keep it, besides eBay and craigslist, where else can we advertise it for rent or exchange it?

We did something really dumb last summer, now looking back and bought a 10,000 timeshare in florida near disney. We want to sell it because it is a drain on our finances as far as being able to save. It’s 200.00 a month that could go into paying another bill off. what is the best way to get rid of it or are we stuck? we tried ebay and sell my timeshare now and had no luck they are offering way less than what we owe. don’t want money out of it just someone else to take it over.its a 2bdrm lockoff unit in florida, deeded and about 500-700 in maintenance fees our years are even. and the timeshare company has the first right of refusal when it comes to the new buyer. it’s 5 mins from all the disney theme parks. I want to be done with it we just got it last june and still owe quite a bit of money. How can i legally unload this????

Has anyone had real success selling a timeshare on ebay or get your money back in taxes donating it? Help!

I want to buy a timeshare affiliated to the RCI system, but first I want to know if I will have to pay each year maintenance fees for that timeshare, either I use that week (resort) or not… So, if in one year I don’t go to my timeshare property (I don’t use my week to stay there), I still have to pay the maintenance fees or not?
I remember I saw a bidding on ebay, and the guy who wanted to sell his timeshare was pretending that you only have to pay those fees only when you use the resort. Maybe there are such cases?
