My Fiance and I were given a Timeshare with Wyndham Resorts and we are going to go to Hawaii Next January. There are resorts on all the Islands just wondering if one island was better then another? Any Suggestions would be great!!! Thanks!

SO FOR INSTANCE IF YOU BUY TIMESSHARES IN FLORIDA WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO GO TO HAWAII AND USE THAT SAME RESORT? For instance a friend told me to buy timeshare with Westgate resort. Would I be able to take a vacation In Hawaii, or you must stay where you bought your timeshare

So I went to this presentation today. I thought it was awesome.
To become an "owner" I would have the get financing for K(lifetime) which isn’t bad. I turned it down. I can buy a car for that price.

They did offer me 6,000 points (grand total of 5)

I can go to almost any attraction out West excluding Hawaii.

Was this a great deal or should I get my money back? Never done this before.

With my 6000 points, that is only enough for 1 trip and I can only use 6000 point during non peak season, unless I want to purchase more points.

We recently did a timeshare presentation in Vegas, but decided not to buy. What we did get instead was a brochure promising a 5 day / 4 night stay in Hawaii. Nowhere in the brochure does it say we have to sit through another timeshare presentation, which the people in Las Vegas assured us. However, when I just called to book, they said we had to. Do any of you have any experience with this? Thanks for your input.

I need a few good reasons not to get one. I love vacationing, at least 3 trips a year. I prefer off-peak times, and I’m not fond of US beaches, I’d like to go to Hawaii, Cancun, mountain resorts etc.

We would prefer Wailea area and to be on or VERY close to the beach. If you’ve stayed in places and loved them, please let me know the unit numbers.

My husband sold a timeshare last year. He got it in a divorce settlement from his exwife. We filed our taxes and reported the loss, but do we need to file state taxes or anything in the state the timeshare was located in (Hawaii)? We live in Texas and have lived here for several years. I told him I thought the taxes on timeshares didn’t have much to do with income tax, but does anyone know what to do? We asked two tax preparers who did not know.

i would suggest the Kapalua Villas up near Lahaina. They rent out very large Villas for reasonable rates. Great for a family. The area and the nearby beaches cant be beat….
