when my family was in mexico, we were introduced to the idea of a vacation timeshare. to anyone that owns one, does it actually work? how easy is it to exchange your weeks or to rent them? What is the best website to find timeshares. one of those free stays in a resort in return for one of those 90 min presentation. i have been to some before in mexico but now i want to go some where else.
in Mexico? No, I don’t want one, I just don’t want my 27 year old daughter getting bothered. When we were in Mazatlan alot of the street guys asked how old she was. When she said 25 they just walked away. I am just wondering if you have to be 30 to buy a timeshare?

I recently stayed at an H10 resort in Mexico and attended one of their timeshare presentations. They repeatedly said that I needed to make a decision then and there because a Mexican law prohibits them from making me an offer or allowing me to negotiate with them after my first day there.
I’ve done some searching but can’t seem to find any laws like what they described. Is there any truth to it or was this just an aggressive, potentially fraudulent claim?

What is the best Mexican town or city for a two month winter vacation? Condo rental recommendations?
We like Maui but are looking for something less expensive and just as nice. Want safe swimming and snorkeling and a great condo with water views. Any recommendations?
Well, it depends on your age and interests. There are many lovely towns in Mexico. Here are a few that are really beautiful:
San Cristobal De las Casas, Chiapas. -> Beautiful highland town with colonial buildings. Fascinating indian villages surround it, while the atmosphere in town is at the same time traditional and cosmopolitan. Not too expensive either.
San Miguel de Allende. -> Situated in Central Mexico. Cobbled streets and old colonial buildings. You get the arid landscape too, lol. Very popular with American retirees.
Playa Del Carmen-> Not so traditionally Mexican, but it has a great setting on the caribbean. Great restaurants and atmosphere. Slightly more expensive. Nice safe, sandy beaches with great diving nearby.

We are looking for next year. Have been to PV before and want to avoid all inclusive. We can't stand the food on AI anymore and PV has the best food in Mexico anyways! We are new RCI members and would like suggestions. It seems like most exchanges are AI. We are not trying to be cheap, but it just doesn't pay for us to go AI anymore.
Villa del Palmar Flamingos has excellent food, beautiful ocean view rooms, gorgeous landscaping. We stayed there in Feb. and would definitely reccomend it.
