I bought a package deal at six flags in vallejo last year for with the condition of having to attend a 90min presentation (has something to do with timeshares) but I was wondering, since there’s no obligation to buy, do the conditions still apply to "stay" at the room based on the age(25)?
Basically, what i want to know is, do you have to be the required age of the presentation, which is 25, to stay in the room? cuz the age to check in the room is 21, but when we bought the promo at 6flags they did say u have to attend the 90min presentation but not obligated to buy anyway. (Not planning to anyway) lol

Heres the package that Im looking at buying. The package is only for 3 day 2 night stay and Two adult 1-day tickets to Busch Gardens Theme Park. Diamond Resorts International® offers discounted vacation packages on VacationSource.com with the purpose of introducing you to the long-term benefits and savings of vacation ownership. All we ask is that you and your partner or spouse join us for an exciting 90-minute preview tour of The Historic Powhatan Resort, with absolutely no obligation to purchase a timeshare package. Here’s the web address so you can see for yourself. https://www.vacationsource.com/GetBookin…

It sounds like a good deal but all you have to do is give up 90 minutes out of your stay to listen to them with no obligation. Let me know what you think ok? I don’t want to get ripped off. Thanks!

Apparently i have to attend a presentation from "Worldmark by Wyndham". I’ve looked online and it is a timeshare company, they say i have no obligation to buy. To make the reservations i have to just pay the taxes, to a travel agency at the time i make the reservation. Has anyone dealt with this company?? Do you think that this is a scam?? should i attend the presentation just to check it out?? Please give me opinions….

I would like to buy 4days & 3nights all-inclusive resort vacation package for 9 per couple, which sounds really good. the only restriction is we have to attend a 90minute presentation for timeshare. the travel agent told me that there’s no obligation to buy. i’m not sure if i should buy this package since i’ve heard alot of negative about similar packages. please help, anyone. will help to hear from people who experience this. thanks!!!!

Or, who would best benefit from having a timeshare? I see only cons, so please tell me any pros.

1. High upfront
2. Fallacious predictions of future costs
3. Why travel the same place over and over instead of owning a place or renting hotels (I doubt if you cut a deal with a travel company to commit 10-20 years you can’t get a better bargain)

Why do people get timeshares? are they stupid? Are they looking for a place to waste money? Are they pre-paying to force themselves to be on vacation?
Ok, I know owning a place costs too much, at least in maintenance alone.

Aren’t there "special" hotels and resorts that are more ‘homelike’ that fit babies, and food, though more costy, less upfront compared to costs?
I understand with inflation, demand, hotel prices MAY go up, but doesn’t "locking in" a price also "lock in" the obligation to get your money’s worth every year, plus lock yourself to certain timeshared locations rather than a different new place every once in a while?

… in Playa Del Carmen, MEXICO (as they promised they would do in the sales presentation)?
I have done some research on the internet and I’ve noticed there are a few people who are trying to sell their timeshare through varios websites. This leads me to believe that Sunset Resorts did not live up to their obligation. I have tried to contact these sellers personally, but have not gotten any info. about their re-sale/ sell-back experience with Sunset Resorts. I just purchased a timeshare with this company (Sunset Resorts) just 3 weeks ago, based on the promise that after a year I could sell it back to them if I choose to get out of it. That is why getting an answer to this question is vital in my dealings with this company because as it would seem, something seems "fishy" here.

Just wondering because I got one of those "no obligation to buy" letters in the mail and there’s guaranteed prizes of either a cruise or ,200 in cash. Of course, it sounds good for just an hour of your time, but there’s usually a catch. Has anyone been on one before, and did you think the prize was worth the hour timeshare tour?

It’s for Wyndham Resorts, two nights + airfare to Vegas for two people paid. No obligation buy. Sit through a 90 minute speech and get the free prize. Seems too good to be true, is it?
What’s the catch?
I’ve heard they’ll offer you "vouchers" instead on actual plane tickets….I’m just SO sceptical.

Recently, I signed on for what seemed to be an excellent vacation package. Two nights stay at a Williamsburg, VA resort w/two adult tickets to Busch Gardens included – all for only . Additionally, they are claiming they will give me two more nights at another time – FREE of charge – to return.

Upon verifying this package, I realized it is a time share selling package. You get this rate – but you have to devote an hour and a half to them dragging you around the resort and attempting to sell you a timeshare in it. There’s no obligation to buy (supposedly) – but you have to at least take the tour and participate to get the rate and return package deal. The return trip doesn’t include the hour and a half tour again.

Has anyone ever done this? Did they make you sign anything? Is putting up with the tour and timeshare selling attempts worth it for the trip or is this a scam that will only inconvenience me and my family on our vacation?
