We have a very healthy marriage, 3 kids, both in out mid 30′s and both very attractive. Wife is heading to cancun next year with a single girlfriend and the girlfriend’s parents at the Westin Timeshare condo’s. Is it a meat market there? Will she be hit on even though she is married?
I’m asking this because I hear alot of people that these things are a scam.
Thing is that my parents bought one, however it’s not a time share where you’re stuck in one location. You get x amount of day (i think now it’s changed to a point system) and you can choose to spend time in any of the resorts they have around the world.
My parents bought it with the sole purpose so that we could travel and go on vacation (they didn’t do it as an investment)
now I’m scared that people are saying is bad and stuff. I hope my folks didn’t make a big mistake.
i’m not sure how it works
the only thing i know is that my dad pays some money every other year (idk if that’s for maintenance or
the timeshare)
but yeah i guess my parents’ purpose was so that we could travel to differen places every year.
We have a timeshare that we would like to sell, but we’re not sure how the market is or how realistic it is to expect to sell it. I don’t really know the details of it, but it’s from the company TrendWest. Any advice, insight or input would be great, my parents need the extra money and this really doesn’t get used as often as it should.
We are traveling with 3 families. Our parents (70), sister and brother in law (early 30′s) and us ( late 30′s, 18, 14, and 10 years old). We are not sure which island would be best to stay on so that there is something for everyone. Short hikes, waterfalls, and beach are 3 activities that keep coming up…and we don’t know if a resort or a condo/rental house would be the best option. We’d love input from anyone regarding a family friendly vacation and where might be the best place to call "home" for a week.
My parents are trying to sell there timeshare. They were approached by this company that’s giving them quite a deal for their timeshare, but they need to pay some closing costs. Before they give up there credit card number I suggested that they investigate the company, but I’m not finding anything. Has anyone used this company or has heard of them?
My husband and I are going on vacation for our first wedding anniversary, and my parents in law are letting us use there Interval International Timeshare. We can pick anywhere that Interval International offers, but we would like to stay in the States. We were thinking of maybe going to North Carolina or possibly Georgia. We are going in June.
We are not limited to those two states, we are up for any suggestions in any state that Interval International offers…we would love feedback from other Int. intern. resorts people have stayed at.
Anyone ever use any interval Intern. resorts in Florida that are really nice? has anyone ever stayed at Bald Head Island in North Carolina? Typee Island in Georgia? Myrtle Beach? Hilton Head?
Again these are just a few to through out, but would like recommendations for other places if you had good experiences! Thanks so much in advance!!!
My parents own a timeshare that they want out of. Should they go through something like timesharesbyowner.com, or can a local realtor (local to the resort) help them, or can the resort sell it for them? What is the best way?
We will have my parents, in their fifties, my husband and I and my brother and wife in later twenties, and four children (4yr old boy, 1 1/2 yr old twinboys, and a 6 month old boy). We rented a condo in Gulf Shores for a week last year. Disney is out of the question for this year, but will be explored in a couple more years. What are some other good spots for a vacation with children so young?
I am almost ready to buy this timeshare,…
00 plus 0 closing costs
0 Maintenance/Year
Week 31 ( First Week August) Locked Annual Week
2 Br Sleep 8 w/Lockout , Beautiful Sheraton Broadway Plantation Resort in Mrytle Beach, SC where we have been and LOVE.
I figure the 00 pays itself off within 5 years with parents giving us some money every year to come down with our kids.
Now we have a vacation in this beautiful place every year for life. for under 0/year….yes that price will inflate but so will the rental costs anywhere ( This place currenlty rents for 00/week)
I have seen this timeshare type down in SC going for ,000.
What do you think? And no, I do not need replies from people saying timeshares all together are a bad investment…I am going to buy one and use it forever…just wondering if this one is a good deal.
We’re going back to the Lee County area in May. We know of a couple of condos but they are going downhill. Looking for something great ON the beach for 2 parents and 3 kids. A pool is a must!!!
