Is there any resorts or timeshares that i can rent for cheap? What are some websites to go to?
Hi, I know nothing about timeshares. I have always been interested but just now have the financial stability to be able to afford one. I specifically am only interested in timeshares that allow you to use it at multiple locations. I believe there are timeshares or programs available where basically you pay for 1/52 of a property and there are like 20 properties in a pool. each year you are in a group of many many people and you can select which property you would like to stay at. I would like something which includes the rockies in the US and possibly other countries as well. I am not rich…so something inexpensive would be best. I am extremely careful when it comes to purchases like this so don’t worry about me rushing out and buying something…but I need some resources. Can you please send me your favorite website links for these types of timeshares? Please only send a link if you really believe for sure it is the best site for looking for exactly what I’m looking for. I have a feeling there will be many links and I will be visiting them all through a google search. I will select the one that I feel as the best as my best answer after visiting all of them so that the other people that answer can visit the site as well and possibly get something out of this question too
Thank you so much!

I bought a package deal at six flags in vallejo last year for with the condition of having to attend a 90min presentation (has something to do with timeshares) but I was wondering, since there’s no obligation to buy, do the conditions still apply to "stay" at the room based on the age(25)?
Basically, what i want to know is, do you have to be the required age of the presentation, which is 25, to stay in the room? cuz the age to check in the room is 21, but when we bought the promo at 6flags they did say u have to attend the 90min presentation but not obligated to buy anyway. (Not planning to anyway) lol
Hi Everyone,
I know I can get info about places to visit in LA online but just wanted to check with people here who are from that area and knows more detail than I can find anywhere.
I am going to LA with my 2 and half year old for few days. I want to take her disneyland. I am checking the park tickets online. Are there any other places to buy cheaper tickets there or any timeshares who provide them? What else I can do with a toddler where she, I and my husband all can enjoy.
Thanks in advance
My mom got talked into purchasing a "discounted vacation" over the phone through a company called Great Vacation Destinations. The trip is a few days in Orlando, FL and then a couple days on a cruise to the Bahamas, followed by a couple more days in Ft Lauderdale. The catch is that you have to go to a timeshare presentation for BlueGreen timeshares. And there are bonus vacations that you can take to Las Vegas and Cancun etc later on.
She now regrets the decision to buy, but has already shelled out a good chunk of money which I don’t think she can get back, so we are going to go check it out. I have heard lots of people’s opinions that all these types of offers are scams, and I would tend to give the same opinion, but is there anyone out there that has actually gone on this vacation with this company and could report on their experiences and/or offer any advice to ensure that the trip is at least a success, even if it’s not the great deal that they sell you on over the phone. Thanks!
So my husband and I were some how scammed into purchasing one of these timeshares from Silverleaf. It sounded like a great deal, but come to find out after we had already signed the paperwork that they had told us a bunch of lies.
Lies:
1. We could use the Piney Shores resort anytime.
2. We could use Bonus Time anytime, doesn’t matter that we had purchased a blue/white week. We could use the resort even during the red season. Sun-Thurs would be free, and Friday and Saturday would be .
These are the reasons we purchased. Piney Shores is right off of Lake Conroe, and we love being out on the boat, we thought it would be super fun to be able to gather friends and go out whenever. Later we find out that we can’t stay during the red season, which is the only freaking time we would want to take the boat out. Sure we can go out for the day, but we can’t stay there.
If we just quit paying on the timeshare what is the worst that could happen? Will it hurt our credit that bad?
So later on, to resolve our problems with Silverleaf they conned us into buying another week, which was said to be a red week, and would give us privelege to go anytime we want.
Later find out that in fact we had purchased another blue/white week!!!!! We owe ,000 for both weeks. We pay 0 a month for something we can’t use, so we said to hell with. Closed out bank account so they couldn’t draft the money out anymore, and opened a new one. Well they call everyday several times a day. I tell them they aren’t getting another dime from us. They say if we just quit paying on it for good that is will hurt us, and we will never be able to buy a house.
NEVER BUY A TIMESHARE!
Why should we pay 0 a month for something we will never get to enjoy. We aren’t going to take vacation during the winter time, that’s just dumb!

Thinking about doing the discovery and eventually owning one.
These timeshares can be used around the world – meaning if there is a Wyndham or Fairfield resort anywhere around, then you can go and stay for free (outside of housekeeping fees).
They give you so many points to use throughout the year and if you own one (actually spend thousands to buy one) then you own it for the rest of your life (transferable to your children when you die), you are free to travel to any of the popular vacation spots around the world. Like Cancun, orlando, hawai, carrbeans, myrtle beach, destin, fl and the list goes on.
Anyway, the question is: If you own one is it worth it?
Is it hard to get into a room and do you really own it for the rest of your life? If knew what you know now, would you do it again
Please give honest feed back both positive and negative. I only have so many days to decide if I going to cancel my discovery or not.
Your answers will help me make my decision
Also, If you don’t buy with the company, then how are you suppose to be engaged in the low monthly payment. Is there a way around that if you buy from other places? Thanks for your info – you guys are helping soooo much! :- )
