Most info on the internet is geared towards weekly allotments of timeshare. It suggests purchasing in "prime" locations for exchange "power". However, because Wyndham uses points & has so many resorts, does it matter where you buy with them?

For instance, if I purchase at one of their cheapest-valued resorts, are those points "equal" in exchange to the same number of points purchased at a higher-valued resort? Or in other words, what’s the buyer’s incentive in purchasing points from one resort, as opposed to another?

I cannot find on craigslist where I could sell my Worldmark/Wyndham timeshare

I am new to Wyndham/Fairfield Timeshares. I made a reservation and I did not have enough points, so I had to buy them. Now I have cancelled the one day that was over 0.00. I cancelled more than 30 days before, will I get my money back?? HELP

I want to buy a Wyndham timeshare that is 154k, and it says it comes with RCI membership. Now does that mean it has 154k RCI points or is that only wyndham point. Also if anyone has links to were you would go to find the points redemption charts I would appreciate it.

Thinking about doing the discovery and eventually owning one.

These timeshares can be used around the world – meaning if there is a Wyndham or Fairfield resort anywhere around, then you can go and stay for free (outside of housekeeping fees).

They give you so many points to use throughout the year and if you own one (actually spend thousands to buy one) then you own it for the rest of your life (transferable to your children when you die), you are free to travel to any of the popular vacation spots around the world. Like Cancun, orlando, hawai, carrbeans, myrtle beach, destin, fl and the list goes on.

Anyway, the question is: If you own one is it worth it?

Is it hard to get into a room and do you really own it for the rest of your life? If knew what you know now, would you do it again

Please give honest feed back both positive and negative. I only have so many days to decide if I going to cancel my discovery or not.

Your answers will help me make my decision
Also, If you don’t buy with the company, then how are you suppose to be engaged in the low monthly payment. Is there a way around that if you buy from other places? Thanks for your info – you guys are helping soooo much! :- )

I am looking to buy a Wyndham Timeshare and was wondering if anyone can explain to me the Floating Week concept

If i only want to use wyndham/fairfield resorts, are resale points treated any different than the points that i but from wyndham? If I did want to use a different timeshare, how do i trade my points? Can I use my points for other things like cruises, airfare, and rental cars?
