Honolulu vacation rental condo questions.?
I am thinking to rent a vacation condo in Wakiki or Ala Moana. Waikiki banyan or Island colony. Had anyone stayed there? Pro and Cons? I’ll be taking bus to go everywhere so bus line access is important for me. This is for 2 adult and maybe 2 weeks to a one month. Traveling dates are undecided yet but would be low season. Thank you.

The areas you are talking about are only about one mile apart, and can easily be walked. The public beach is a little nicer in Waikiki, however. There is also a city trolley that provides transportation to the whole area. Look in tourist coupon books for buy one get one free coupons.
A condo is a great option for extended stay since it will have a kitchen. Since groceries are quite high, pack a suit case with dry foods you will use while there. As you use the food up, you will also create space for souvenirs. The International Market Place in Honolulu is the best place to shop for bargain souvenirs. While there, take a break and stop in at the Tree Top Lounge located above the shops for bargain on beers.
My favorite restaurant in the entire world is the Kobe Steak house located in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort. If you look around, you can find coupons. They also offer sunset specials.

I stayed at Waikiki Banyan last month. Bad news:elevators are SLOW and we did have a few bugs. Good news:location is very good, close to bus lines, restaurants and on 6th floor near the pool(between towers) is a carry out (can’t really call restaurant) that has everything and is good. Concierge at front desk is very good with helping plan tours. Biggest attraction on this island is Polynesian Culture Center-DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
